'Santa Baby' and 'When I Fall In Love'
These two songs, 'Santa Baby' and 'When I Fall In Love' we're always described as 'Sung by Marilyn'. But this isn't true. 'Santa Baby' was sung by Eartha Kitt, in 1954. And 'When I Fall In Love' in 1957 by Rhonda Fleming. Rhonda's real name was Marilyn Louis, that may be switched to 'Monroe' when some people thougt it was sung by Marilyn. But it was not.

Songlyrics
The French are glad to die for love They delight in fighting duels But I prefer a man who lives And gives expensive jewels
A kiss on the hand may be quite contimental But diamonds are a girl's best friend A kiss may be grand but won't pay the rental On your humble flat, or help you at the automat Men grow cold as girls grow old And we all lose our charms in the end But square-cut or pear-shaped These rocks don't lose their shape Diamonds are a girl's best friend
Tiffany's! ........Cartier!.......Black Star, Frost, Gorham Talk to me Harry Winston, tell me all about it! There may come a time when a lass needs a lawyer But diamonds are a girl's best friend
There may come a time when a hard-boiled employer Thinks you're awful nice But get that ice or else no dice He's your guy when stocks are high But beware when they start to descend It's then that those louses go back to their spouses Diamonds are a girl's best friend
I've heard of affairs that are strictly platonic But diamonds are a girl's best friend
And I think affairs that you must keep liaisonic Are better bets if little pets get big baggettes Time rolls on and youth is gone And you can't straighten up when you bend But stiff back or stiff knees You stand straight at Tiffany's
Diamonds!!... Diamonds!!... - I don't mean rhinestones - But Diamonds, Are A Girl's Best, Best Friend
I wanna be loved by you just you and nobody else but you I wanna be loved by you - alone. Boo boo bee doo
I wanna be kissed by you just you and nobody alse but you I wanna be kissed by you - alone. Boo boo bee doo
I couldn't aspire to anything higher and to feel the desire to make you my own. Badum badum bee doodily dum ! Boo !
I wanna be loved by you just you and nobody else but you I wanna be loved by you - alone. Boo boo bee doo
I couldn't aspire to anything higher and to feel the desire to make you my own. Badum badum bee doodily dum ! Boo !
I wanna be loved by you just you and nobody else but you I wanna be loved by you Ba deedily deedily deedily dum Boo boo bee doo !
If you listen you can hear it call Wail-a-ree [wail-a-ree] There is a river called THE RIVER OF NO RETURN Sometimes it's peaceful and sometimes wild and free! Love is a trav'ler on THE RIVER OF NO RETURN Swept on for ever to be lost in the stormy sea Wail-a-ree I can hear the river call [ no return, no return ] Where the roarin' waters fall wail-a-ree I can hear my lover call come to me [ no return, no return ] I lost my love on the river and for ever my heart will yearn Gone gone for ever down THE RIVER OF NO RETURN Wail-a-ree wail-a-re-e-ee He'll never return to me! [ no return, no return, no return ]
My Heart Belongs To Daddy
My name is Lolita and I'm not supposed to play..with boys! What? Mon coeur est a papa. You know, le proprietaire. No! While tearing off a game of golf, I may make a play for the caddy, but when I do, I don't follow through 'cause my heart belongs to daddy. If I invite a boy some night to dine on my fine finnan haddie, I just adore his asking for more, but, my heart belongs to daddy. Yes, my heart belongs to daddy, so I simply couldn't be bad. Yes my heart belongs to daddy. So I want to warn you laddie, though I know that you're perfectly swell, that my heart belongs to daddy cause my daddy he treats it so.. While tearing off a game of golf, I may make a play for the caddy, but when I do, I don't follow through, ooh, daddy. I f I invite a boy some night to cook up a fine enchilada, though spanish rice is all very nice.. my heart belongs to my daddy so I simply couldn't be bad. So, I want to warn you laddie, though I know that you're perfectly swell, that my heart belongs to my daddy 'cause my daddy he treats it..so.. That little old man he just treats it so good!

Marilyn and her singing career
Marilyn was very serious about singing. She sang very well, you can hear that in the songs 'River Of no Return', 'One Silver Dollar' and 'I Wanna Be Loved By You' and more. She had a nice vibration in her voice. But if Hollywood had give her more beautiful songs she would have been a great singer.
